Watch: Researcher Access Service webinar

Launched in April 2024, the Researcher Access Service enables streamlined access to nine of Public Health Scotland’s most frequently requested datasets for research projects in the public benefit.

The webinar included:

• An introduction from HDR UK Scotland Co-Director, Katie Wilde.
• A presentation by RDS digital and data teams, including details of datasets available via the Researcher Access Service, useful information for prospective applicants, updates on how it has progressed since launch and future plans for the service.
• A demonstration of the application process.
• A presentation from Matthew Iveson, Senior Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow, on a researcher’s perspective of using the Researcher Access Service. Matthew’s research project was funded by the RDS Accelerator Awards and was one of the first to access data through the streamlined application process.
• A Q&A session for attendees.
