RDS to moderate panel on the future of AI in healthcare

RDS will be attending Data Summit 2023, The Data Lab’s key event which celebrates the most innovative and groundbreaking uses of data and AI and Scotland’s leading role in this dynamic field.

Taking place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) on 2 and 3 November 2023, the event will see Nora Cooke O’Dowd, Chief Data Officer at RDS, moderate a panel titled ‘The future of AI in healthcare’.

Commenting on the event, Nora Cooke O’Dowd said:

“I’m delighted to be attending the Data Summit and moderating a panel on such an important and timely topic. As we’ve seen in recent years, AI tools are rapidly evolving and present unique opportunities and challenges for the public sector. I’m looking forward to hearing thoughtful insights from our panel members and exploring how AI could be used in healthcare.”

Among the Data Summit’s keynote speakers are Paolo Benanti - AI adviser to Pope Francis and the Vatican, Anna Brailsford - CEO, Code First Girls, and Gillian Docherty - CBO, University of Strathclyde and Advisor to the Board at Research Data Scotland.

The event will also include panel discussions on a range of topics around data and AI, including ‘How Data and AI are Influencing Culture’, ‘Space, AI and Sustainability’, ‘Data and Democracy – friend or foe?’, ‘The Importance of Data Visualisation’, ‘Generative AI and the Future of Media’ and ‘The Regulation of AI – where to begin and where to end?’
