Join us to learn more about the work RDS is doing in collaboration with the Scottish Government Data Strategy for Health and Social Care.

Want to find out how Research Data Scotland (RDS) is making it faster and simpler to do research that can improve lives? Join us for a webinar as part of Digital Health and Care Scotland's DigiFest 2024.

At the event, we’ll explore some of the key areas RDS has been working on over the last few months including:

  • The Researcher Access Service: launched in April this year, the Researcher Access Service is a digital service that makes it quicker and simpler for approved researchers to access public sector data for research. At the event, you’ll learn more about how the service works and our plans for the future.
  • Renewed Safe Haven Charter: RDS supports the Scottish Safe Haven Network, with the aim of improving systems for accessing data for research in line with the Scottish Government's Data Strategy for Health and Social Care. Hear how the Safe Haven Charter, first published in 2015, is being refreshed to bring it up to date and the intended impact.
  • Public engagement: at RDS the public voice is central to our work. In August, we announced the return of our Public Engagement Fund, giving people the opportunity to be part of the data research process and to raise the profile of data for research in Scotland. Find out more about our public engagement activities, our public panel and the fund at the event.
