Modern Slavery Statement
Our statement outlines steps we've taken to ensure that slavery has no place in our organisation or supply chain.
Modern Slavery Statement
Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act (2015) requires commercial organisations in the UK with an annual turnover in excess of £36 million to produce a ‘slavery and human trafficking statement for each financial year of the organisation’.
Our annual turnover falls below £36 million and we are therefore exempt from the annual statement requirement, as outlined by the above Act. However, as an organisation we have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, and we are working towards publishing and communicating a Modern Slavery Policy for our employees, suppliers, contractors and business partners.
As we operate within the UK we are at low risk of exposure to slavery and human trafficking. Our key area of risk lies in our relationship with supply chains – suppliers, contractors and business partners.
1.0 Supply Chain
We are working towards communicating our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery to all suppliers, contractors and business partners at the outset of our business relationship with them and reinforced as appropriate thereafter. We will undertake appropriate due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers, contractors and business partners, and regularly review our existing suppliers, contractors and business partners. Serious breaches of our supplier code of conduct will result in the termination of the business relationship.
2.0 Employees
We will only use reputable recruitment agencies, and we will always verify the practices of any new agency before engaging employees from it. Employees will be required to avoid any activity that might lead to, or suggest, a breach of this Policy. Employees will be encouraged to raise concerns about any issue or suspicion of modern slavery in any parts of our organisation or supply chains at the earliest possible stage.
3.0 Training and Awareness
We will provide training on the Modern Slavery Policy; any associated processes; and the potential risks we face. This will be included in core induction for new employees and will also be available for existing employees at regular intervals. We will communicate our Policy and action plan to all employees, suppliers, contractors and business partners.
